Parent’s Guide to a Dry Night’s Sleep
Bedwetting Tips
All children wet the bed when they’re young. It’s a common phase that can last for a few years or longer, and it typically resolves as children grow older. Medical studies show that approximately 15% of children continue to wet the bed until they are at least 7 years old. Remember there are no set rules. There is no “normal”. Your child will grow out of the nighttime wetting stage at their own pace.

Bedwetting Tools: Waterproof Mattress Protectors
As a parent you can arm yourself with tools to keep your child comfortable, confident, and happy. And to help you protect the mattress and clean-up accidents fast.
A waterproof mattress protector could become your new best friend, but not all protectors are created equal.
Here are the 5 key features we look for in a premium waterproof mattress protector:
- 100% Waterproof: Ensure the protector offers complete waterproofing to safeguard the mattress against wetting accidents.
- Soft and Comfortable: Look for materials like organic cotton that are soft and noise-free to promote uninterrupted sleep.
- Tight Fit: Choose a protector that fits snugly on the mattress. Avoid a loose fit that bunches up under the sheets, because urine could leak from the sides down into the mattress fibers.
- Machine Washable: It should be easy to clean, ideally machine washable and dryable on high heat settings.
- Hypoallergenic: Consider hypoallergenic and organic options that are non-toxic, especially if your child has allergies or sensitive skin.
When you check all 5 boxes, you’ll have an outstanding mattress protector that will make your life cleaner and simpler for years to come.

Customer Review
Comfortable, soft and waterproof. No sweating on this one.
It’s very comfortable and definitely waterproof. My little Yorkie had a pee accident on my made bed. It went through the blanket and sheet but was stopped by this mattress pad. This morning she was sick and vomited onto the mattress which is what prompted me to write this review. It was a good amount and watery and the mattress cover stopped it 100%. I feel very protected with this pad. Have washed it at least 10 times and it still retains its waterproof ability.

State of the Art Made in USA
I really love how well this is made, with corners that hold! I have had an earlier cooling mattress pad from another company. This one seems cooler to sleep on. Would buy again!
Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
1. At what age should I start using a waterproof mattress protector for my child?
Waterproof mattress protectors are useful at any age, but they’re especially handy when your child transitions from diapers to regular underwear. This typically happens around the age of 2-4 years. However, if you want to protect the mattress from other spills and accidents, you can start using a protector from the time your child moves to a regular bed. It’s never too early to safeguard their sleeping environment.
2. When should I replace my mattress protector?
A good quality mattress protector should last for at least 1 to 2 years, even with frequent washing. Watch for signs of aging like small leaks, cracking or peeling on the waterproof layer, feeling rough to the touch, or starting to sound like a crinkly plastic bag.
